Approach & Values

I believe therapy starts with empathy. Despite life circumstances or the reason one may be seeking support, I value understanding the feelings and needs of my clients. I believe empathy must be followed with responsibility. I make sure to accept responsibility when I make mistakes, following through with the responsibility I commit to as a therapist for my clients. I value my clients accepting responsibility for their commitment to the healing process through timeliness and respecting policies agreed upon at the start of treatment. Lastly, therapy must be built on a platform of honesty.

Education

I graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2018 with my Master’s in Social Work (MSW). I then went on to provide in-home therapy to a multiethnic, multi-aged community in Los Angeles (Service Plan Areas 6, 7, and 8) from 2018 to 2021. I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in 2021. Prior to my MSW, I worked as an in-home behavioral therapist for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am a certified CORS (Crisis Oriented Recovery Systems) and MAP clinician. I am also working toward becoming a Certified Gottman Couple’s Therapist at this time.

Expertise

I specialize in assisting individuals and couples to work through life’s conflict. I do so through a multi-faceted approach, focusing first on the strengths of my clients then integrating psychodynamic, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy to empower clients to reach their identified goals. I am aware of and integrate trauma-informed research to assist in developing sensitivity to the many reasons that may be bringing people to treatment. The benefit of being in therapy with me is that I strive to help individuals and couples heal
through empathic, authentic, and transparent human connection. I am not a robotic
therapist, but instead, an individual striving to empower my clients with research-based
knowledge to improve their life conditions.
