Hi, my name is Carolette King. I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino
I began my career with CASA as an advocate for children and families in the foster care system. My love for helping the most vulnerable populations led me to pursue a career with DaVita, where I have provided counseling, support, and case management services to chronically ill clients and their family since 2017.

Approach & Values
Do you often feel like your mind is playing tug-of-war with your body? Do you constantly question your abilities? Are you are stuck in a fog of negative numbing thoughts, but at the same time your anxiety always keeps you on your toes? Maybe you feel like a marionette on puppet strings, being pulled from apathy on one side to heart-racing fear on the other.
Come talk to me, I’m here to help. Together we will work on strategies that allow you to explore your foundations, current experiences, and potential, while learning coping techniques to use when you need them the most.
I believe that healing is a shared effort that requires genuine caring without judgment, and I supportively assist my clients in defining their goals for treatment. Rather than adopting one approach for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored treatment plan for each client.
I understand that patients from diverse cultures may communicate distress differently, so I strive to maintain multicultural competence in treatment. Because Black and Brown clients often face racial and ethnic disparities in health and mental health care, I specialize in issues that impact these communities.
